SILVER GIRL - “SILVER GIRL”

“Silver Girl’s self-titled EP dances with itself, like unfettered rain ricocheting off the umbrella of restraint. Stepping into the puddle, specks of polished paradisiac-pop cascade and purge the mundane, beckoning your boots to travel off the beaten path.

Tired of predictable pop produce, “Sweet Like an Apple” holds acres of tangible emotion ripe enough that when you take a bite its crisp notes taste like the way fall leaves sound as you stride away from pedestrian practices hungry for more.

Like the dandelion dust, “San Jose” is gone too soon. The whirl of concise, intricate percussion invites you to listen to distant windblown vocals. Wishing you could follow them into the twilight tones, you look to new by reminiscing the old.

“Dial 411” is the friend that helps you move; move in the right direction. Light-footed drum machines carry boxes out of un-want while deep piano carries you toward appreciation. A place where you are valued.

Wings spread, “Entomology” takes you to new heights; crescendos of keys flutter to construct the castle where you can rest your head, pollinated by the strong pulses of sweet softness.

Pure as honey, “Au Natural” deserves to be savored. “Maybe if I was prettier, I could get away with more,” ponders her smooth voice. “All I want is peace with you. Do you want a piece of me?” Oh honey, who wouldn’t want a piece of this pristine harmonic prosperity?

Slow and silky like the sunset on a heavy day, “Same” holds you close while piano weaves together quilting the mind’s eye. Noticing separate stitches, the rhythm’s permanence poses there is more left to embroider.

Devoted to play on repeat, “Ceremony” leaves us with swells of celestial resonance strong enough to make any atheist go to church. A religious experience, you are blessed when its lovely notes reach your now-enlightened ears.

Listening to Silver Girl’s self-titled EP is like taking the scenic route on a long road trip. The undiscovered is aching to be heard. Dance and welcome it. “

LISTEN NOW.
