“Haunted House”, Charlotte Bumgarner’s most recent single, opens with resounding melancholic guitar, creating a deep sense of space perfectly accompanied by Bumgarner’s soft but punchy voice. The song lives in the liminal space between experience and understanding, like a string of thoughts that loop in your mind right before an epiphany. A poignant reflection of her inner world made up of scattered thoughts sprawled out in a sweet melodic way, everything Bumgarner creates invites you further into her landscape of haunted castles and tumultuous flings.
